Tower House Year 7 Special - Fajitas & Churros 'A Mexican Fiesta!'

Welcome to My Rainbow Kitchen! The aim of my class is to encourage your son to learn about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way.

During typical class we will generally cover 3-4 recipes all using quality ingredients.  We informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from. Each recipe utilises 1 or more essential cooking skill.

In this Mexican inspired class the children will  learn to make fresh Guacamole +/or Salsa and Chilli Lime Mexican Chicken (or Vegetarian Smoked Halloumi) for their Fajitas and learn to prepare various fillings and flavour combinations.  We will work on and develop safe knife skills in the kitchen. For a sweet treat, we will make fresh Churros dipped in Cinnamon Sugar and serve with a Velvety Chocolate Sauce! 

The boys will be encouraged to taste their gourmet creations as well as taking home to share with their families.

All boys are requested to take a home covid test within 48 hours of attending your class
