About the Event
Welcome to my Christmas Special which will be the first of my Holiday cook clubs
The aim of my club is to encourage your child to learn about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way. During a typical sessions we will cover 2-3 recipes using quality ingredients. We informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from.
Each recipe will be utilising 1 or more essential cooking skill. In this Christmas Special the children will make their make their own Cranberry Sauce then assemble their tarts using Brie (or Mozzerella) and Filo Pastry. They will learn to handle Filo pastry and we will discuss other yummy filo recipes!
They will then make their Chocolate Tear & Share Star bread by making their enriched bread dough then filling, shaping and baking their bread!
The children will be encouraged to taste their gourmet creations as well as taking home to share with their families.
All children are requested to take a lateral flow test either at a community testing centre or at home within 48 hours of attending your class
Please do not send your child if they or any other household member are experiencing covid related symptoms

This class is suitable for Children 9 years and above. Young Teens are also welcome!
