In a world of Indian ready-meals and sauces claiming to be authentic join me and let me show you how cooking from scratch taste the best! Now you can experience India’s varied and flavour-packed cuisine first hand, and learn the entire cooking process for a number of dishes from start to finish in just a few hours.
I will give you an introduction to fundamentals of proper spice blending – so you have a complete understanding of the use of spices and the essence of Indian cooking – and you have the option to feast on your gourmet creations either at the end of class in a communal lunch or take your food home with you!
This cookery class is a real hands-on experience for those of you who want to get down to some spice blending and understanding the essence of Indian food.
Dishes covered include a Oven Baked Tandoori Chicken (or Whole Roasted Spiced Cauliflower for Vegetarians/Vegans) , Chana masala, Fresh Spelt Pitta or Naan or Quinoa & Brown Rice Pilaf, Fresh mint & Cucumber Raita (Vegan option available) with a Zingy Carrot & Mooli Side Salad. This will provide the platform to build your culinary skills in all types of Indian cooking. We will be finishing off with a Saffron scented Shrikand with Pistachio & Pomegranate
No previous cooking knowledge is needed, just a desire to cook and learn!
This class can be tailored to suit to be vegetarian or vegan diets
