About the Event
Welcome to my 'My Rainbow Kitchen' Summer Holiday Cookery Classes. I will be running a total of 5 Holiday classes this Summer.
For those that don’t know me already, my name is Sayjel Patel and I am a qualified chef and dietitian. I have been running children's cookery classes for the past 10 years. The aim of my club is to encourage your child to learn about ‘good food' and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way.
During a typical session we will cover 2-3 recipes using quality ingredients. We informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from.Each recipe will be utilising 1 or more essential cooking skill.
In this Japanese Summer Special the children will learn to make sushi rice for their sushi. They will prepare a variety of seasonal vegetable fillings focusing on basic knife skills. There will be salmon…
