About the Event
The class will encourage your child to learn about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way. This Spring & Summer we are growing our own herbs, vegetables and edible flowers. Children will be able to pick and cook using own home grown produce.
During the class we will cover 2-3 recipes using quality ingredients. We will informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from.
Each recipe will be utilising 1 or more essential cooking skill. In this Italian inspired class your children will learn to make Fresh Gnocchi. They will shape and cook their Gnocchi and then prepare a Sage Butter to serve with it. We will be picking sage from our 'My Rainbow Kitchen' garden as well as identifying other home grown herbs in the garden
For the fresh Strawberry Tiramisu your children will learn about seasonal fruit available at this time of year. They will be taught the fundamentals Egg cookery including separating eggs and whisking egg whites. Again we will be picking fresh strawberries in 'My Rainbow Kitchen' Garden and using some locally sourced ones also.
Your children will be encouraged to taste their gourmet creations as well as taking home to share with their families..

This ticket is for 1 child to attend a 3.5 hour Gnocchi & Tiramisu Class
