Kids May Half Term - Fajitas & Churros 'A Mexican Fiesta' (Years 3-6)

The class will encourage your child to learn about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way. This Spring & Summer we are growing our own herbs, vegetables and edible flowers. Children will be able to pick and cook using own home grown produce.

During these sessions we will cover 2-3 recipes using quality ingredients. We will informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from.

Each recipe will be utilising 1 or more essential cooking skill. In this Mexican inspired class the children will learn to make fresh Guacamole for the Mexican Fajitas and learn to prepare various fillings and flavour combinations. We will work on and develop safe knife skills in the kitchen. For a sweet treat We will make fresh Churros with a Heavenly Chocolate Sauce

The children will be encouraged to taste their gourmet creations as well as taking home to share with their families..
