Kids Halloween Special - Spooky Sausage Rolls & Iced Halloween Cookies

Welcome to my Halloween Special which will be the second of my October half term cook clubs....this time more aimed for the younger kids!

The aim of my club is to encourage your child to learn about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way. During a typical sessions we will cover 2-3 recipes using quality ingredients.  We informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from. 

Each recipe will be utilising 1 or more essential cooking skill. In this Halloween Special the children will make their make their sauage filling and then shape and wrap with ribbons of  Puff pastry to replicate Spooky Mummies or Witches Fingers! They will then bake their savoury delights before decorating with their finishing touches.

They will then make their Halloween Cookies by rolling, shaping & baking their biscuit dough followed by that all important  glossy icing to decorate. They will learn to colour, cover & pipe with both glace and fondant icing.

The children will be encouraged to taste their gourmet creations as well as taking home to share with their families.

All children are requested to take a lateral flow test either at a community testing centre or at home within 48 hours of attending your class

This class is suitable for Children 7 years and above. Young Teens are also welcome!
