Kids Half Term Cook Club - Valentines Special

This Half term we will create the ultimate comfort meal for Valentine Day!

The aim of my clubs is to encourage your child to learn about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way.

During a typical session we will cover 2-3 recipes using quality ingredients.  We informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from. Each recipe will be utilising 1 or more essential cooking skills.

In this Valentines Special, we will be making the Ultimate Mac n Cheese enriched with pan fried pancetta topped with a parmesan crust! The children will make their own cheese sauce following the classic Roux Method, pan fry their pancetta and boil their pasta to al dente before baking in the oven with a crunchy parmesan topping.

For their sweet treat, they will make Heart Shaped Cinnamon Rolls by making an enriched bread dough and filling with a cinnamon butter before shaping and baking. These will be then drizzled  with glace icing and decorated with sprinkles edible flowers or  freeze dried raspberries.

Please do note, unfortunately I have had to increase my prices slightly due to the cost of ingredients and energy costs. It is still very good value for money compared to other cookery classes for kids and please do check my reviews if in doubt!

Due to other private bookings and commitments, this will be the only Kids Cook Club I will be running over the Half term.

For my classes, all children are requested to take a home covid test either  within 48 hours of attending the class.

Please do not send your child if they or any other household member are experiencing covid related or flu symptoms.

These classes are suitable for Children 9 years and above.  Teens are also welcome!
