Kids Christmas Cook Club: 'Festive Faves Special!'

Welcome to my 'My Rainbow Kitchen' Festive Cookery Classes. I will be running approximately 2-3 children's Holiday Classes this Christmas (2 in December & possibly 1 in the new Year).

Alternatively, if you would like to form your own group maybe with your child/children and their friends, please do contact me as I have a few dates available for private group bookings. If there are 6 children in total, the price cost per child works out similar to the Holiday Clubs.

For those that don’t know me already, my name is Sayjel Patel and I am a qualified chef and dietitian. I have been running children's cookery classes for the past 10 years. The aim of my club is to encourage your child to learn about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way. We informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from. Each recipe will be utilising 1 or more cooking skills.

In the second of our Festive Classes, we will be making two Festive Favourites. Firstly we will make a Sausage Roll Wreath whereby the children will be making their sausage meat from pork mince and taught how to season correctly. They will encase their Wreath in puff pastry, shape and bake. They will then make a fresh Cranberry Sauce which will serve as a dip for their tear and share wreath. (a vegetarian/vegan alternative will be available if requested)

We will also make Traditional Chocolate Yule Log. The children will make their Chocolate Chiffon Sponge the bake and roll with their Chantilly cream. They will then top with Chocolate Ganache before shaping into the log. Christmas decorations and Sprinkles will be available to Decorate.

Please do not send your child if they or any other household member are experiencing covid related or flu symptoms.

Allergen information: this course uses wheat and dairy. I may be able to substitute but for more information regarding the ingredients used, please contact me before booking your course.

Please book early to avoid disappointment. Once the class is at full capacity, I will not be able to take on any more children unfortunately.

These classes are suitable for Children 9 years and above.  Teens are also welcome!
