Halloween Special - Kids Holiday Cook Club

Welcome to My Rainbow Kitchen Kids Holiday Cooking Classes! I'm Sayjel Patel, a qualified chef and dietitian with 15 years of experience running children's cookery classes. My goal is to encourage children to learn about "good food" and explore new flavors in an educational and fun way.

Typically in each holiday class, we cover 2-3 recipes using quality ingredients. We'll informally discuss nutrition, food science, seasonality, and the origin of ingredients, all while utilizing essential cooking skills.

This special Halloween holiday club will focus on spooky but tasty recipes that involve key cooking skills. We will:

*Make fresh egg pasta, then roll and shape it into spaghetti. I'll demonstrate how to cook perfect al dente* pasta, which students will then serve with homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella "eyeballs."

* Shape frankfurters into "fingers" complete with "nails," which can be served with the pasta or separately with tomato sauce.
