Family Sushi Class (Private Event)

Thankyou for booking a Bespoke Family Cooking Class. You are in for a real treat!!

The aim of my family classes  are to encourage you and  your children to learn about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way. 

During a this session we will cover 2 popular types of sushi rolls using quality ingredients.  We informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from.

You will  make sushi rice and learn to season it correctly.  You will prepare a variety of traditional fillings focusing on basic knife skills. You will then roll your sushi using a traditional sushi mat. 

For the fresh ice-cream you will learn about fruits and sweet flavours typical of Japan & the Far East. You will learn the fundamentals on simple ice-cream making. We will be making a quick no churn Icecream.

These are pre-made/pre-ordered for you so need to be ordered in advance.

For my classes, you are requested to take a home covid test within 48 hours of attending your class.

Please do not attend if you or any household member are experiencing flu or covid related symptoms.
