Christmas Cook Club: Festive Cheese & Cranberry Bites & Mini Chocolate Yule Logs

The class will encourage your child to learn about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way. 

During the class we will cover 2-3 recipes using quality ingredients.  We will informally discuss aspects of nutrition, food science, seasonality and where ingredients originate from. Each recipe will be utilising 1 or more essential cooking or kitchen skill. 

Your child  will learn all about dishes that can be made over the festive period and learn about seasonal ingredients at this time of year. They will kick off by making their own Cranberry Preserve and using this in their Savoury Cheese & Cranberry Bites learning along the way, the different uses for various types of pastry.  Your child will also learn to make a Yule swiss  sponge from scratch and its filling then finally roll and decorate the Festive Log with a decadent Buttercream & edible decorations.
